The Midland Formula One team has been sold to the Dutch luxury car company Spyker, it was confirmed on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Midland who are based in Silverstone will be renamed Spyker MF1 Racing. The acquisition has moved Spyker into the world of F1 racing, Spyker have been extenively involved recently in endurance racing. It should be interesting to see whether the overall standing of the Midland F1 team increases due to Spyker.
